A few tries again go begging which could have made the difference!
Seven again were left ruing missed opportunities in a tight Cup Match encounter. The first half especially Seven had 3 great opportunities to score, 1 went begging through excellent defence but the other 2 were through no fault other than our own. That said I don't think you could say that the better side on the day didn't win the game. Kenfig were clinical and effective in everything they did and deserved the win and played a very good cup match. A side note to the youngsters and boys who were played out of position Saturday. Ieuan Eltham again had a good game scoring his first try on the wing, Ben Pugh made only his second start for the 1sts with Daniel Challenger in the Centre, both playing out of position due to the absence of Kyle Davies through injury and Gwas's wife going in to Labour on Saturday. Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Gwas and his family as they had a health baby boy on Saturday evening. One sad note to come from Saturdays match was the unfortunate news that our Captain Gavin Hooper will likely have to miss the majority of this season due to a neck/shoulder injury. Everyone wishes him a speedy recovery and we look forward to having him back.
Next up for Seven is a home match again Trebanos RFC who have got off to a flyer this season. This is a League match and kick off is at 14:30.
